At f/1.8 compared to the Nikon Z 35 f/1.8, the Canon is noticeably brighter, maybe 1/3rd stop and the IQ is markedly better at the corners and edges. The Nikon doesn't catch up until f/4. Interestingly the Nikon has more magnification at distance, it seems the Canon is less than 35mm true FL, more like 30mm or the Nikon is more like 38-40mm.
